X-ray Week!

The countdown is on—just two weeks until puppies arrive! This week, Ivy had an x-ray to give us a sneak peek at how many little ones she's carrying. The vet’s office happens to be right next to a local bakery, and Ivy was absolutely determined to go inside. Unfortunately, dogs aren’t allowed, but I couldn't resist getting her some fresh-baked dog treats. Naturally, she decided they weren’t up to her standards and refused to eat them...

When the vet tech brought Ivy back after her x-ray, the first thing she said was, "There are A LOT in there!" Take a look at the x-ray and see if you can count how many puppies are on the way!

Hard isn't it?

Aside from the x-ray excitement, we've been focused on getting Ivy to eat her kibble while sneaking in some extra nutrition. We tried eggs for a while, but this week we stepped it up with some homemade bone broth! We used oxtail, marrow bones, chicken wings, carrots, and celery. After freezing the batch, we keep a small container in the fridge to mix into her kibble. Both Ivy and Storm get super excited when they see that container come out!

It might not look the best while cooking, but trust me, it's delicious once it's done!

Ivy was thrilled to go on a few short walks this week! We kept it simple, just strolling up and down our street, but she was over the moon to be outside, sniffing everything in sight. She’s getting pretty big, so we’re making sure to keep it light and easy to avoid overworking her.

Next week is crunch time as we finalize the room setup and tackle some last-minute errands. Stay tuned on social media to keep up with all the excitement!
